The board of director’s announced today that Mr. Ted Baker has been named the Executive Director for the Innovation Connector, effective August 1, 2010. In his new position, Mr. Baker will oversee all operations of the technology oriented new business incubator in assisting emerging companies, new entrepreneurs, and providing resource connections to business startups across East Central Indiana.
Mr. Baker comes to the Innovation Connector from a successful period as Regional Director of the East Central Indiana Small Business Development Center and is a serial entrepreneur in his own right. Mr. Baker was the founder and CEO of Worldwide Technologies, LLC and owner operator of Baker Business Group, Inc. Mr. Baker has held positions of National Tour Manager for Ray Boltz Music, Inc. and served as Operations Manager of American Design & Engineering Co., Inc. Active in many non-profit activities, Mr. Baker also serves on the Miller College of Business Marketing and Entrepreneurship Advisory Boards at Ball State University.
Mr. Baker holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Ball State University, is a Certified Training Consultant and a noted business speaker on subjects such as “The Basics of Business”, “Right Time/Right Place Marketing”, “Start Smart- Building Your Business Plan”, Financial Finesse – Understanding Financial Statements” and “Conflict Resolution in Your Workplace.”
Mr. Ron Fauquher, chair of the board of directors of the Innovation Connector indicates that “we are pleased to find the depth and breadth of business experience and proven entrepreneurial skills and talent in Ted Baker take the reins of the Innovation Connector. The Innovation Connector is a technology new business incubator located in state-of-the-art facilities in the Certified Technology Park at Ontario Place in Muncie, Indiana. The mission of the Innovation Connector is to accelerate the creation and growth of technology based and emerging companies in order to improve the economy of Muncie and East Central Indiana.
